Agency help center

Everything you need to run your white-label SEO agency on Preferium — how to add clients, use your credit pool, sell packages, and brand the dashboard as your own.

Agency overview

How the reseller model works: you buy wholesale, you sell retail, you set the price.

The model

You buy WHOLESALE from Preferium and sell RETAIL to your clients. There is no shared balance to keep topped up: every client you sell to gets a service contract, and that contract is what Preferium bills you for — per client, per month, for as long as it is running.

Your client pays YOU, on your own Stripe, at the price you set. Preferium bills you separately at wholesale. The difference is your margin, and nobody changes it but you.

Your clients only ever see their own dashboard (white-labeled with your brand). They never see Preferium, your wholesale cost, your margin, or these agency docs.

The two invoices

Every sale produces two separate charges: your client is charged on your Stripe at your retail price, and you are charged by Preferium at wholesale for the same purchase. They can even be in different currencies — your client pays in the contract currency, you are billed in your own locked wholesale currency.

Delivery follows the money. Your client’s capacity is never raised before the wholesale side is confirmed, so a failed wholesale charge can never leave a client on a higher price with the old capacity.

Adding client sites

Create a client tenant and its site under your agency.

Create a client

From “Clients”, add a client and their website. Each client is fully isolated — its data, credits and users are separate from every other client and from your own agency workspace.

You can view a client’s dashboard to help them, and manage their package from the Clients page. Selling is either a checkout link the client pays themselves, or a direct sale you bill them for outside the platform — both create the same contract.

Your own agency workspace counts as a client for billing purposes: if you run your own site on the platform, it generates wholesale like any other.

What Preferium bills you

One wholesale price list, charged per client for everything that client has.

How wholesale works

There is one wholesale price list, the same for every agency: a per-client base fee plus a per-unit price for domains and for each block of credits. You are billed for EVERYTHING a client has — including what is bundled into the package you sold them. A client on a small package who never spends a credit still costs you their package’s full wholesale.

Your wholesale quantity follows what is actually DELIVERED, not what is ordered. A purchase that is paid but not yet delivered is not billed to you; a client you suspend for non-payment drops out of your wholesale the moment delivery stops; a frozen site counts for nothing while it is frozen, and counts again from the moment you reopen it.

When a client doesn’t pay

A failed client payment starts a 14-day retry period. Service keeps running and you keep paying wholesale for it. On day 15 the contract is suspended: the site goes dark, the client stops counting against your client limit, and it stops counting in your wholesale. You can extend the grace period, but every extra day is a day you are paying wholesale for a client who is not paying you.

Discount codes cost you full wholesale

A 100% discount code on your Stripe is treated as a completed payment: the order goes through, the client is delivered, and Preferium charges you full wholesale for it. Giving a package away free is your decision to make — just know that you are paying for it, not us.

Selling packages to clients

Define packages, publish prices, charge on your own Stripe.

Packages & prices

Connect your own Stripe under “Billing”, then build the packages you sell: what is included, which features are switched on, and your price per currency. A package is versioned — you edit a draft and publish it, and clients already on an earlier version keep what they bought until they move.

Your retail price must at least cover the wholesale cost of what the package contains; below that, publishing is refused. We suggest a market price when you create a package, but the number is always yours.

Watch the margin between packages, not just the floor

The floor is checked per package. It does not catch the case where a bigger package has a THINNER margin than a smaller one — then every client who upgrades makes you less money, and nothing looks wrong on the price list. Keep the margin rising as the packages get bigger, and check it again whenever the wholesale list changes.

If Preferium changes a wholesale price, nothing happens to your prices or your packages automatically. Only your margin moves — and if a package goes underwater we flag it to you. We never adjust a price on your behalf.

White-label branding & settings

Make the dashboard yours — name, logo, colour, and (soon) your own domain.

Branding

Set your agency name, logo and accent colour under Settings → Branding. Your clients see your brand throughout their dashboard, never Preferium’s.

A dedicated dashboard domain for your agency (your own URL instead of the shared one) is available on request.
